Dan has been involved in the commercial real estate field for over 30 years. Although Texas has been home since 1983, Dan spent the first 11 years of his career working in downtown Chicago for Chicago Title and Trust and First National Bank of Chicago.
In August of 1983, Dan moved to Dallas to run the Construction Loan Administration division of First Texas Savings. At First Texas Savings, he was responsible for a staff that funded multi-million construction projects on a variety of product types across the country.
After leaving First Texas, Dan worked for a number of savings and loans focusing on work-outs, asset sales and Participation Management on a variety of commercial real estate transactions. In August of 1994, Dan opened an office for the Midland Companies ("MMA") a co-mingled pension fund advisor, providing both debt and equity for apartment developers in the Southwest region. With Midland, Dan was responsible for financing both conventional and tax credit apartment communities. From its inception, the Dallas office was not only profitable every year, but was consistently the top producing office in the country during Dan's tenure. In August of 2006, Dan left MMA to team up with Zerga Development as their Director of Finance. Dan is responsible for providing the capital on all of Zerga's real estate transactions.
